5 Artists Who Should Play the Super Bowl Halftime Show Next

Super Bowl 56 is in the books, and for most, it’s onto the next one. Whatever that “one” is, of course, is up to you.

Maybe you’re just ready to sink your teeth into your favorite reality TV show, or perhaps you’re switching gears and looking to watch all the basketball you can handle. March Madness is just around the corner, after all.

Regardless, the NFL is gone for a little over six months, so die hard NFL fans have little to cling to. They could always look ahead, where a new act awaits in the Super Bowl 57 halftime show.

There has yet to be an announcement as to who will play the halftime show for Super Bowl 57, which is precisely why we can start teasing the possibilities.

With that, here are five major artists that could play the Super Bowl 57 halftime show.

Billie Eilish

The Super Bowl halftime show probably won’t aim to be so geared toward rap and/or hip-hop for a second year in a row, and The Weeknd was the headlining act the year prior.

More of a poppy feel could be in order, and who better than Billie Eilish, who has proven to be much more than the latest flavor of the week.

Eilish took the music industry by storm when she dominated the Grammys in 2019, but she’s since added to her brilliant resume with Happier Than Ever, which dropped heavy releases in Therefore I Am and My Future.

Few stars pull as much weight as the surging 20-year old, who has seven Grammys to her name and a sea of hits that would guarantee a fun and vibrant Super Bowl halftime show.

She may have to apologize to Kanye West first, though.

Taylor Swift

What’s better than Billie Eilish? Try a more controlled, more eclectic, and more successful veteran of the industry in Taylor Swift.

Swift has been through it in recent years, as she battled back to her music her own again, all while still pushing out fresh material.

She’s best known for seamlessly marrying country and pop, but Swift is now a breed of her own, taking things up a notch with more seasoned albums in Folklore and Evermore.

It’s arguable nobody touches Swift’s range at this point, as she can hit the crowd with the emphatic I Knew You Were Trouble, and then tug at the heart strings via Cardigan.

The 32-year old Swift is still doing her best work, which would render her quite the steal for the Super Bowl 57 halftime show, assuming she has time in her busy schedule to help the NFL out.

Beyonce’ (Again)

Who says no? The impossibly 40-year old R&B star has been a beacon of strength for women, artists, and the African American community.

Beyonce’ has been rather busy of late. She’s prieced together some awe-inspiring projects with Netflix, and few will forget the mark she left with the powerful (and criminally underrated) Lemonade.

While she’s upped the ante in recent years, Beyonce’ could have been absolutely nothing, and/or chillin’ at home taking care of her kids. Had she been completely dormant, she’d still be a massive get for the Super Bowl 57 halftime show.

She seemed to be enjoying herself at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, too, so maybe she could be talked into returning.

Few put on a show the way The Queen can. She has endless hits in her arsenal, stage presence for days, Destiny’s Child as a phone-a-friend, and a slew of star-studded collaborators she can lean on for help.

Beyonce’ has admittedly been here, and done that. If you recall, her amazing effort at Super Bowl XLVII is without a doubt one of the most epic Super Bowl halftime shows of all-time.

Who wants to simply check out Super Bowl halftime show rankings or search YouTube for that, though?

I say let’s get the real thing booked (again) and make the Super Bowl 57 halftime show one for the history books.

BTS

It’s weird that BTS isn’t actually regarded as a massive act. Perhaps that just goes with the territory of being a band that isn’t from the states.

That may be true, but the South Korea group is about as mainstream as it gets, delivering hit after under-appreciated hit en route to super stardom.

BTS have been around nearly a decade now, but they’ve only been well known at a high level for roughly five years now. In that time frame, they have blown up as one of the best acts in the entire world.

The range with this would-be boy band is insane. From the heart-stopping Mic Drop to Butter, BTS really has it all.

National appeal is up for debate, but when you’re talking about an amazing show with familiar material, I’m struggling to see a bigger act that could rock the house like they could.

Who Will Perform at the Super Bowl 57 Halftime Show?

Nobody knows just yet who will perform at the Super Bowl 57 halftime show. These are four fantastic options, however.

Would it be such a bad thing if the next Super Bowl halftime show performer was from an R&B, rap, or hip-hop background? Of course not. You especially would agree when you look at what just went down at Super Bowl 56.

It was amazing, but switching things up and attracting bigger stars is the name of the game when deciding who will perform at halftime in the Super Bowl.

Maybe throw in other huge names like Rihanna or Adele. Don’t rule out rock groups like Mumford & Sons or a pop star like Ed Sheeran, either.

However, these four artists would be perfect for the Super Bowl 57 halftime show, and I know I’d personally love to see any of them get the nod next year.
