Kanye West’s absurdity is limitless, it seems. The famous rapper and Donda artist called out singer Billie Eilish recently, demanding she issue a public apology after slamming fellow artist Travis Scott.
Eilish reportedly stopped a recent concert once she noticed that a fan was having trouble breathing.
“I wait for people to be okay until I keep going.”
– Billie Eilish
It’s debatable if that’s exactly what Eilish did, although she did appear to at least reference Scott’s concert debacle which resulted in 10 people’s deaths.
Eilish’s slight jab at Scott could be seen as an intentional dig, or perhaps she was simply stating that she cares about her fans and wanted to stop the show until she knew everyone was alright.
That isn’t how Kanye West saw it, though.
West has gone on record to claim Eilish had it out for Scott with that statement, and he’s called her out, saying he wants an apology before he performs at Coachella this year.
Eilish has since responded by saying that she never mentioned Scott by name, and was simply “just helping a fan”. Family of people who dies at Scott’s Astroworld concert came to her defense, as well.
It remains to be seen what will come of this Kanye vs. Eilish spat, but judging off of Ye’s history of public confrontations, we haven’t heard the last of this.
