Millie Bobby Brown Reportedly Says No to Stranger Things Movie

Millie Bobby Brown

One way or another, it appears Millie Bobby Brown’s days as a member of the Stranger Things cast are coming to an end.

The rising Hollywood star is reportedly eager to kickstart the next chapter of her acting career, with the mothership series officially coming to an end when the season five finale rolls around.

Of course, thanks to the series being the moneymaker that it is, there are whispers of Stranger Things spin off ideas, as well as a feature film.

Netflix has yet to confirm as much, but reports suggest Millie Bobby Brown is ready to move on and see what else is out there.

The actress has said as much, while also exhibiting gratitude for the show that made her a superstar.

This shouldn’t shock anyone, as Millie Bobby Brown is now 19 and has been playing the same character for seven years.

That lengthy stay within the framework of Eleven’s persona is only going to stretch out further, too, with shooting for the final Stranger Things season not even starting yet.

While moving on makes sense, it’s a tad shocking Millie Bobby Brown would turn down a reported $12 million for a Stranger Things movie. It’s also worth wondering if she’s just flat out done with the franchise, or if the right price could convince her to stay.

Just as compelling may be the idea of a Stranger Things movie continuing without it’s top star.

That may not be such a reach, either. There are a lot of wild Stranger Things theories out there, and one reasonable suggestion is that Eleven ends up sacrificing herself at the end of the show to save her friends.

Nobody would be shocked by that, and if it does happen, a Stranger Things film could easily move forward without it’s superstar, and allow other characters to take on more prominent roles.

It remains to be see how valid these rumors are.

For now, the whispers suggest Stranger Things season five is the end of Millie Bobby Brown’s reign in the franchise. And maybe fans should start getting to be okay with that.
