The White Lotus has kept us on the edge of our seat for two amazing seasons. It’s planning to do it for at least one more, with the next story of rich people gone bad dropping down in Thailand.
Reports are circulating that creator Mike White has chosen the Southeast Asia country as the next destination for his show’s wild antics, and it will also help shift the tone.
The first season kind of highlighted money, and then the second season is sex. I think the third season would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality.

That isn’t a whole lot to go off of, but it does promise that there should be a bit of a change of pace from the previous two installments.
Fans certainly noticed a shift from season one to season two. As White noted, there was much more sexual activity going on in season two, while the second part of the series was also significantly darker.
Could The White Lotus 3 get even darker from here? It’s certainly possibly, while many will wonder if any of the previous cast members will pop up.
You might recall a few holdovers from season one starring in season two, after all.
The White Lotus rumors are mostly tight lipped to this point. However, having an actual destination for the show has things trending in the right direction.
