The news swirling around the coming Deadpool 3 movie has been nothing but positive. First fans learned that a third installment of the franchise would be happening.
Soon after, everyone was teased of the inclusion of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. More recently, Jackman was cleared of having skin cancer, which arguably cemented his role in the franchise’s second sequel.
As wild as it sounds, more good Deadpool 3 news it’s way, with reports confirming that another key character has officially joined the cast.
Deadpool 3 Gets Morena Baccarin Back as Vanessa
While not a massive character, this is still the main love interest for Ryan Reynolds in the franchise, and that element has been at the core of this story.
Morena Baccarin had recently expressed doubt as to whether she’s be brought back, but fans no longer have to wonder if she’ll be playing Deadpool’s wife.
From here, fans can ponder how Vanessa might factor into the Deadpool 3 storyline.
Could she be brought back simply to be killed off? Might Vanessa be at risk and need Deadpool to rescue her again?
All options are on the table, but the good news a fan favorite is being kept in the loop. The rest will be cleared up once Deadpool officially hits theaters.
Colossus and Other Characters Also Returning
Vanessa returning to Deadpool 3 is good news, but it’s even better to hear that she isn’t the only original cast member to stick with the franchise.
No, T.J. Miller won’t be back after publicly slamming Reynolds, but get ready to see more of Stefan Kapicic as Colossus.
He and Deadpool butted heads as he tried to keep the Merc with the Mouth in line at times in the original film, and it seems they’ll meet up at some point in Deadpool 3, as well.
Even more actors will be back for Deadpool 3, with Karan Soni and Leslie Uggam set to reprise their roles of Dopinder and Blind Al.
Ryan Reynolds broke the news that Hugh Jackman would be joining the team for Deadpool 3, and did so in hilarious fashion.
Deadpool 3 doesn’t have an official release date, but the cast being finalized is quite the step in the right direction.
The second sequel promises to be a ton of fun, but die hard comic book fans can’t help but wonder what the future might hold. The future, as in, long after Jackman and Reynolds are (truly) done playing these characters.
